Welcome to ABCSpell for Outlook Express. ABCSpell gives you the ability to perform spell checking in Outlook Express without the need to purchase Microsoft Office.
ABCSpell works by using the spell checking buttons and options that are already part of Outlook Express, so you will not even be aware of ABCSpell -- you will just find that Outlook Express's spelling options become available, and you can use them to check the spelling in your e-mail messages. (NOTE: Outlook Express does not check spelling in the subject line of a message. Because ABCSpell works through Outlook Express, it will also only check the text in the body of the message.)
In addition, ABCSpell can check spelling in more than 13 languages. Language dictionaries are available online through ABCSpell's Online Updates feature. New dictionaries are added all the time.
ABCSpell also provides two Advanced Features: an English-language Thesaurus, and a word look-up feature, which are available through Outlook Express's right-mouse menu. You will need to be connected to the Internet to use the word look-up, which accesses Merriam-Webster's online dictionary. Advanced Features are not available under Windows 98.
ABCSpell supports Windows 98 (spell checker only), Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP Home and Professional.
