Using the Custom Dictionary
Previous  Top  Next

ABCSpell compares the words in your message with those in the ABCSpell dictionary and in the Outlook Express custom dictionary. The ABCSpell dictionary contains most common words, but it might not include proper names, technical terms, acronyms, etc. To prevent ABCSpell from marking such words as spelling errors, you can add them to the Outlook Express custom dictionary..

Most of the words you add to the custom dictionary are the result of selecting Add when ABCSpell reports a word as misspelled. Each time you select Add, ABCSpell adds the word to the custom dictionary. However, you can also open the custom dictionary to view and edit its contents.

To open the custom dictionary:

1.From the Outlook Express menu bar, click Tools->Options.
2.Click on the Spelling tab.
3.Click on the Edit custom dictionary button. Outlook Express opens the custom dictionary in Notepad, so that you can view and edit its contents.
