Setting up Spelling Preferences in AccuSpell

Top  Previous  Next

There are several ways to set up your spelling preferences in AccuSpell.

You can select settings on the Spelling tab to determine how AccuSpell detects spelling errors. These settings control, for example, whether AccuSpell ignores capitalized words, or whether it suggests corrections. AccuSpell lets you easily change these settings to customize how spell checking is done.

You can use custom word lists to add words that are not in the standard dictionary, such as place names or specialized technical terms. These custom dictionaries can be viewed and edited.

Although AccuSpell is sold with U.S. English installed as the default dictionary, you can use AccuSpell to perform spell checking in languages other than English. In order to use this feature, you will need to download the dictionaries you want by using AccuSpell's Online Updates feature. These dictionaries are available at no charge. AccuSpell cannot use dictionaries that are owned by other programs, such as Microsoft Office.
