Starting AccuSpell

If, during AccuSpell's installation, you checked the box  Add to Start Up Group, then AccuSpell will start each time your computer is restarted. You can verify that AccuSpell is running by the presence of the AccuSpell icon in your systems tray, in the lower right corner of your screen, as shown here:

If you did not choose the automatic start option, you can launch AccuSpell manually from the Start menu.

 

To launch AccuSpell from the Start menu:

 

1.Click on Start.
 
2.From the Start menu, select All Programs->AccuSpell.
 
3.The AccuSpell red check mark icon red_checkmark2displays in the system tray.

       

 

To add AccuSpell to your Start Up group, so that it will automatically start whenever you restart your computer, follow these steps:

 

1.Right-click the mouse on the AccuSpell icon in the system tray.

 

2. From the menu, click on Start AccuSpell every time I start my computer so that it is checked:

Closing AccuSpell  

You can close AccuSpell at any time by following these steps:

 

1.Right-click the mouse on the AccuSpell icon red_checkmark2in the system tray.

 

2. From the menu, choose Exit.

AccuSpell closes. You can re-start AccuSpell by going to your Start menu and choosing Start->All Programs->AccuSpell.   

 

 

Canceling Automatic Start

When you installed AccuSpell, the installation program asked if you wanted to add AccuSpell to your Startup Group.  If you selected this option, then each time you re-start your computer, AccuSpell is launched. If you want to prevent this, follow these steps:

 

1.Right-click the mouse on the AccuSpell icon red_checkmark2in the system tray.

 

2.From the menu, click on Start %AD%> every time I start my computer so that it is unchecked. 

 

NOTE: Unchecking this option mean that when you exit AccuSpell, it will not automatically restart. You will need to restart it by going to your Start menu and choosing Start->All Programs->AccuSpell.

 

3.To close AccuSpell, right-click the mouse on the AccuSpell system tray icon once more.

 

4.From the menu, choose Exit.

 

 

Disabling AccuSpell

You can disable the spell checking features of AccuSpell without having to completely exit.  By doing this, you will still have access to all other options available to you from the tray icon.  If you want to disable AccuSpell, follow these steps:

 

1.Right-click the mouse on the AccuSpell icon red_checkmark2in the system tray.

 

2.From the menu, click on Enable AccuSpell so that it is unchecked.  The system tray icon changes from red_checkmark2 to red X tray icon indicating that AccuSpell is now disabled.  You may continue to use the red X icon as you would the red check mark.  When you are ready to enable spell checking again, click on Enable AccuSpell again so that it is checked.
