Changing What Programs AccuSpell Works With

Top  Previous  Next

AccuSpell can be turned off in select applications.  When AccuSpell is running,  it searches your computer for other compatible applications that are running.  However, there may be reasons you don't wish to use AccuSpell in certain applications.  For this purpose, we have included an Application Manager feature.

To turn off AccuSpell in individual applications

1.Double-click the red check mark icon red_checkmark2 in the system tray to open the AccuSpell Options Window

2.AccuSpell displays a list of applications currently running. Each application where AccuSpell is enabled has a checked box next to it.

3.Uncheck the box next to the application you wish to turn off, or use the Select All and Unselect All buttons to enable or disable AccuSpell in all your current applications. IMPORTANT NOTE: Unselect All should not be used except in the process of troubleshooting with one of our technical support representatives.

4.Close and restart the applications you have unchecked to save your changes.

You can also tell AccuSpell ignore other applications not on the current list.  This means that if you open a new application while you are working, AccuSpell will not automatically attach itself to it.  In order to do this, check the box next to the option: In the future, do not enable AccuSpell in any programs not on this list.
